1. Object of study

The TCampus Empresarial de Telefónica is made up of 12 buildings, 8 of which have the singularity of having cantilevered areas supported by 6 steel braces. These braces must undergo a periodic structural check due to the structural stresses to which they are subjected. The procedure is an experimental modal analysis of the first natural frequencies of vibration of said elements through a non-destructive test. To do this, an calibrated impact hammer is used to hit the braces, thereby obtaining their natural frequencies and thus determining their modes of vibration.

2. Test carried out:

2.1 Dynamic study

The test is conducted on all braces of the corporate campus buildings. Each brace is divided into 4 impact points, where 2 of the 4 points were monitred with accelerometers.

From the impacts on the braces, the natural frequencies of the structural element and its modes of vibration are acquired, with which the results can be compared for all the braces of the various buildings and establish ranges of behavior and trend lines.
